Like all the visions of the future from the 50s just hasn't happened.

And it's because all of our engineering prowess went into making Nerf guns.

Because in my absence from being of the age of being really excited about Nerf,

and I'm now returning to that age as my kids get older, Nerf guns these days are insane.

They're not, Nerf isn't, Nerf brand actually isn't that great anymore. It's all about X-Shot. That's the, that's the latest one. This isn't sponsored at all. I'm just finding this out. So apparently they make one now, this X-shot company makes one where it primes it for you.

Like you press the trigger, it fires, and then the motor just cocks it like a normal.

Can you remember like old school Nerf guns where you'd pump it to cock it and then you pull the trigger and it shoots, right? Yeah. Well, this thing is motorized and it cocks it. And not only does it do that, it hits harder than anything out there. It's like, it's like I guess you normal Nerf blasters are about 80, 70 to 80 feet per second. This one does 160 and it leaves welts.

Just what you want in a kid's toy.

Yeah.

You'll put your eye out, kid.

Yeah.

So they include safety glasses with this.

I'm going to point that out.

And it has, and it feeds magazines like a real gun. And, uh, and I'm like, all right. So I got it for my son's birthday because he really wanted it. And his birthday party's nerve themed. So I'm like, all right, cool. You're, you're going to get the best Nerf gun in town, buddy. It wasn't freaking cheap.

But they also make, but I'm like, I don't want him to send his friends to the ER with this thing either because it leaves welts.

So thankfully there's a company that like says, hey, you can replace the spring in there to make it shoot not so hard.

But then they also sell springs to make it shoot even harder.

I ordered both.
