time at a large church near Cleveland, Ohio. He joined the church as an intern and was eager to grow and learn. Kyle desired to use

his creativity, thoughtfulness, and intelligence in his job, and to serve the church. But over

time, Kyle would realize he could not bring his whole self to this job or church. Because when he did, his worth was questioned, and the very way God made him was ridiculed.

But Kyle did not let those destructive voices win.

And his courage to not give up on himself, God, or the church, is a testament to the bold and bright

spirit that God has given him.
