Okay, this person want to know if they're a jerk for not allowing kids at their birthday party.

It said, I'm having my 30th birthday party and I want a day with my girlfriends and their full attention,

which means all I am asking for is for them to show up without their kids.

And it's not going to be some kind of rager, but I just wanted to be a fun night where we let

loose a little bit.

One of my friends is a new mom, and she's pushing back big time saying that my request

is unrealistic and unfair.

If I'm being really honest, I want this day to be about my birthday, not about her new baby,

which if she brings it, it will be. Everybody's going to be, oh, the baby, and then that's all it's going to be. Now, am I being a jerk for

feeling this way and having this rule? No, I think everybody, when you throw your party and you're

paying for the drinks, you're paying for the food, you should be allowed to put whatever

stipulations you want. And then if you're the mom with the new baby, you should be allowed to put whatever stipulations you want.

And then if you're the mom with the new baby, you don't have to go to the party.

You don't go.

That's the other thing too.

The baby's going to ruin the vibe of the party.

And you also make the people who are going to act like adults uncomfortable because they're drinking.

around kids when someone brings if it's an adult party and all of a sudden someone brings in

a kid now you have to clear out all of the adult stuff I had to do this on Saturday so the last

party I went to on Saturday was an adults only party But we had Rocco with us because we had just
