Today we have a very inspiring story for you.

It may not seem like an episode on 9-11 is going to be inspirational, but I promise you it will be.

My guest today is the amazing Kussel Chuxi.

He was one of the people in the Twin Towers on 9-11 who had to evacuate, went through a very dark period in his life after that, but through tragedy came to spiritual redemption,

insight, great joy, and a new level of meaning. We're going to hear all about

Kushell's journey and the insights he generated. And he also documented them in his new book

on a wing and a prayer, spirituality for the reluctant, the curious, and the seeker. Kusel is a deep

meditator and practitioner. And we are honored to have him here with us today.

Can you start by telling us a little bit about your background?

You went from being a super quant-driven entrepreneur, multiple businesses to a much more spiritual path. Take us down that

journey a little bit. Yes, it was a beautiful journey, something that I would not trade for

anything here. My journey began when I came to this country as a student and a hyper-ambitious

immigrant wanting to achieve that famed American dream. And I was doing really well. I landed
