I had talked recently about making sure my one-year-old son knows my dad.

So my dad passed away four years ago and never got to meet Jimmy who is a little over

one now.

And I want to make sure he has some kind of sort of memory of him, but I just didn't

really know how to go about doing it and was struggling with putting stuff together

myself.

And I got the greatest suggestion from a Berkshow listener.

And so anybody else that might be in the same position, I just thought it was such a

beautiful idea and it was something manageable and you would be able to take it easy on

yourself in the process.

So I wanted to read and share it in case you know you have a loved one that's passed on

and a child that you want to make sure even though they're never going to cross paths,

they're going to know this person and know who they are.

I lost my dad to cancer almost 10 years ago when my boys were really young.

The memory of him in the hospital bed and hospice care stayed strong for a good while
