I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

Everyone is anxiously awaiting the arraignment of Brian Coburger.

Is this somewhat of a surprise?

Well, it was a surprise that the case was going,

went to a grand jury, which we all know is a secretive proceeding.

And of course, the grand jury came out with what is known as a true bill,

which of course as an indictment. So all of the things that were

supposed to occur, for example, the probable cause hearing that was supposed to occur on June 26th,

that's now off the table. That has been replaced by the grand jury indictment. And the case is moving forward.

And as we know today, he is supposed to appear in court to be arraigned,

officially arranged on these charges.

He will have the charges read to him,

and he will get a chance to plead not guilty, guilty, or request another stay, apparently,

to the case. But we're all anxiously awaiting that. But one of the things that this does do,

it allows us to find out more information in regards to what the prosecution has in this case.

Much of the evidence, in fact, the other night on NBC, they had that, they came up with

some information that I believe really wasn't known.

There's people saying, oh, we knew that, unless you read the 500 pages of the search warrants and the subpoenas, we didn't know that he had ordered a K-Barr knife while he was in Pennsylvania.

That is like tremendously, tremendously, tremendously powerful evidence.
