Summary
On today's show, Michelle and I discussed the Nocebo and Placebo effect. A growing body of evidence is emerging for a phenomenon known as the nocebo effect. This is when a person is conditioned to expect a negative response, or to anticipate negative effects from an experience. We hit on how the nocebo effect can derail you in your health and fitness journey. We also hit on the much more well known placebo effect and referenced some studies on just how powerful it can be. The main point of this podcast was to drive home just how powerful our thoughts are, both positive and negative.
