Happy Fourth of July.

I'm recording this before the Fourth of July, but pretty close.

And it's going to publish on the Fourth of July, so you're either on the day or sometime after it.

I hope you'll listen sometime after it because I hope you're Fourthth of July. You have some plans with your friends, with your family, something fun. I actually

really love the 4th of July. I have this fondness for secular holidays because I sometimes feel

like there's less pressure to do them right, you know, like doing Easter and Christmas right.

Like there's a lot riding on those things in your family life.

But stuff like Fourth of July, you can just have fun.

You can have a picnic.

You can go to a parade.

You can have people over, have a barbecue, whatever.

In our little town, there's a road race every 4th of July, and it's been going on for

many years, and some of my kids and I participate in it usually. This year, I'm not going to

participate in it because I'm a little bit more focused on Dan, my husband Dan's business

that he's opening. I think I mentioned it in last week's episode,

or the one before, that he's opening an escape room.
