So Jackie, you've been on holiday this week. I noticed you haven't kept off Twitter though.

It's almost impossible to resist, isn't it? I don't think I've done quite as much as I usually do,

because I have been out and about around Dorset, having a really nice time with my family,

even though it pulled with rain a lot of the time.

But I'm not in quite such an exciting venue this week.

I'm sitting in my front room again as opposed to in that car park.

That really was very funny, being the premiering car park.

The commitment you have to the For the Many podcast,

quite astonishing. Well, I've been back at work this week, which I think all we've talked

about this week is being Russia and knife crime, really. There hasn't been any other topic of

conversation. So let's just run through what we're going to be talking about. And in fact,

that is one of the things we are going to be talking about, the fact that when the media goes on holiday, I think people

are shortchanged a bit because, okay, politicians are away as well. So you've got this perfect storm

where in a sense, sometimes there can be virtually no news. Now, we have been talking about

knife crime a lot this week. We're going to talk

about that in a minute. And also we're going to talk about the latest developments in the Russian

poisoning. And we're going to take quite a few questions as well this week. So the knife crime

statistics, particularly in London, are absolutely horrendous. And if you lump all the murders

together in London so far this year, we've had 55. Now, if you then calculate that as an annual

figure, it comes out around 200, which is probably more than New York is going to have. It's come

to a pretty pass where London is now a more violent city than New York, isn't it?

I mean, these are shocking, and every one of them is a tragedy for the family.
