right here on Talk Radio on the day that the knife crime epidemic was raised to yet another level of violence.

A police officer was stabbed multiple times in a frenzied attack last night in East London,

around midnight after a chase that involved a van

and several officers as well. The assailant who has been arrested in charge, slashed at the police

officers several times with, wait for it, a machete. He was eventually subdued after the sudden

and brutal attack when he was tasered by the man who had been attacked by him and then arrested

by several different officers. We have been cataloguing the plague of knife crime and how it has escalated in recent months.

As of the end of last month,

84 people have so far died at the hands of a knife attack of this year,

but so far we have not had a police officer attacked as far as we know.

Now, surely, we'll have to find a solution because when the criminals no longer fear the police, the streets have been lost altogether, haven't they? We'll be checking your calls on this.
