This hour, I wanted to start, though, with the Knicks because I know they beat the Pelicans.

And I know the Pelicans aren't very good.

It is a road game.

It seemed like they weren't more Nick fans than Pelicans fans there last night. But a couple of things stood out to me. Number one, with that win last night, the Knicks now within a game. I know they've been hovering around there,

but within a game of Detroit

for the top spot in the Eastern Conference,

you had a game in which they trailed in the fourth quarter,

got some stops, but more

importantly, and it's like a broken record, the plays Jalen Brunson makes on a nightly basis to

me are incredible from this standpoint. When they're making the comeback and they take the lead in the fourth quarter and then fall

behind again or they're tied again, he is creating his own space and hitting threes and hitting

them with precision.

Then New Orleans starts to really try and close out on him, and now he's breaking you down

off the dribble and slashing to the basket and getting

easy looks that way.

He is, and I know Mike Brown has been on this since day one, he is every example of what

an MVP player is.

And I know this is a really good team, but to me it starts and finishes with him.

And last night to me, while there were other people involved for sure, McBride was back, he had a couple of big threes. You know, it's just about him to me. It's, you know, cut the head of the snake off. He's the head of the snake of this team. I mean, he proved it a couple years ago when he broke the hand. It was over.

Remember in the playoffs?

Remember the hand went and it was the whole... It changes everything. And that's not to say they wouldn't be good without him. They'd be good. They are next level good, though, with him. And he has continually gotten better. I think, one, I'm always impressed because he's not a big guy. No, not at all. Six one, barely, six, two, barely.
