I always say to you, I wonder why they're being leaked, why they're out there.

You always wonder about the why. Certainly that's been discussed more recently with the whole Mike Vrable, Diana Rusini, situation. Like, is there a reason why information is leaked out? So I'm going to give you some information that's come out in the last four or five hours, six, seven hours. And I'll give you my theory on something that's going on. So Billy Donovan is no longer going to be the head coach of the Chicago Bulls.

And there have now been links to where Billy Donovan may go if he remains in the NBA.

And both of those teams are currently playing basketball.

One is the Orlando Magic to replace Jamal Mosley because the magic have had kind of

locker room coach issues all year now. If they go on a deep run, does that change things? You would

think so? So he's being linked to Orlando and Billy Donovan is now being linked according to

Shams, Sharnia, to the New York Knicks. Interesting. And I hear something like that, and look, I think the Knicks are going to beat Atlanta.

I think the Knicks are going to the NBA finals, and I'm not the only person to think that.

Why does a story like that come out days into the NBA playoffs?

Was he not in the original search?

Oh, yes he was, Tiki Barber. Yes, he was. Remember when the Knicks fired Tom Thibodeau, they had an approach, which got criticized around here. I defended them, which is they went around the league and tried to trade for coaches. Yes, that's what it was. They called up the Dallas Mavericks.

They said, we're interested in Jason Kit.

I ultimately thought that's where they were going to succeed. It didn't happen. And that wasn't the only one. It was like the joke that they called a half dozen teams. Right, I remember this. And inquired about their coaches. And yes, you are correct, sir. one of the guys they inquired about is Billy Donovan.

And so it is safe to say that the New York Knicks preferred Billy Donovan over Mike Brown. I think that is a fair statement just based on their search. And so I wonder, and I don't even like it, but I wonder if a story like this gets leaked out as like a reminder. Hey, Coach Brown, you better freaking win. Because why else is something like that coming out right now?

It doesn't happen frequently in the NBA where you have a coach who has regular season

success, finishing as a three seeds, pretty good, getting to the postseason.

And then for whatever reason, call it injury or whatever,

and then you're one and done in the NBA? That doesn't happen very often, does it?

For what you would consider a successful team. Now, I think the expectation, the bar,

has risen significantly for the Knicks mainly because of the tibs

...
