Just spent last night at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

You know, I used to spend a lot of nights at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, but that's a longer story.

Actually, the truth of the matter is it was a huge, huge thrill.

My father passed away five years ago, and he worked in the 1950s at the Navy Yard as a welder and later as working on periscopes on submarines before he went in the Navy so it was incredibly

cool being in this space as a Brooklynite as somebody who grew up in Sheepshead Bay

in the Navy Yard listening to the candidates beat the crap out of each other because that's

exactly what it was and I think like you know the funny thing we were sitting in the file room and like

I just started heckling because that's kind of what I do on debate night is entirely inappropriate

you know if ever you decide to come to one of these debates you will see the prospect of Politico's chief political correspondent heckling the candidates as if they were, you know,

crappy stand-up comedians at Catch a Rising Star. But, you know, my career started off with me

yelling at the TV, and it's continued with me yelling at the TV. It was a really, really,

choose your Brooklyn cliche. It was a brawl in Brooklyn. You know, the truth of the matter is

Brooklyn is pretty gentrified now, so it was probably more like a snippy conflict at a co-op board.

Or, you know, or like an argument at the you know at the artisanal brussels sprouts

truck but bernie really has his back against the wall it is pretty ironic that this is

happening in brooklyn the borough of his, though I will remind you that he only spent

18 years there.
