Hi there from CNN. I'm Charlie Drever with the five things you need to know for Friday, September 12th.

President Donald Trump has just told Fox News that he believes the suspect in the Charlie Kirk

shooting has been apprehended. He said, quote, I think with a very high degree of certainty,

we have him in custody. He then added that someone, quote, very close to him, turned him in,

and appeared to indicate the suspect was found via a minister who ultimately got the suspect's

father involved. Earlier images have been released of the suspect, wearing a black t-shirt

with an American flag and what appeared to be an eagle on it. They were also wearing

sunglasses, a hat with a triangle on it, jeans, converse sneakers, and a black backpack.

And authorities say the suspect's hands left impressions as they climbed off a campus roof,

with investigators looking to collect potential DNA from smudges left there.

Authorities haven't revealed a motive for the killing, but they are analyzing engravings found

on a spent shell casing and three chambered rounds found inside the shooter's rifle, discovered

in a wooded area.
