We're going to talk about the Mab's actual options at Pick 9, which guard makes the most sense? Is there somebody else besides a guard that'll make the most sense? Crazy time of the year.

Kind of unexpectedly crazy time of the year for you.

Typically, you should just be, like, preparing for the ninth pick,, you got a few more things on your plate. Everyone listening knows this. I know this. Having covered the team for a decade now, there's never like a dull moment with the Mavericks, especially the last two, three years of time. Like the last five years, you just go back to the 2020 Mav make the Western Conference finals.

Nobody expected them to do that. Then they missed the postseason entirely trade for Kyrie the next year. Then they make the finals after that. Like there's just nothing normal about this team ever. Mark Cuban sells the team. Like all of a sudden it feels normal. Mark Cuban sells the team. It's like here and here we are. So we're talking about a fairly normal team now with a without a head coach, but with Maasai and Mike Schmitz there, who you know well in, you know, in control of the Dallas Maverick's front office. And as Isaac and I've been talking about different guards in that ninth spot, because it does seem like it is that group of guards that's that next group the keaton wogler darius acuff kingston fleming's braden burries and uh and michael brown junior seems like those are the guys kind in that next group some people have talked about some others izgan i the other day talked about guys we think could leap into that spot that are not any of those guards but as we've talked about him kingston fleming's is a guard that we've kind of been the lowest on. We think that he has the, maybe the lowest ceiling of those other guards. I could see it fitting, maybe the worst of those guards from him. But tell me about Kingston Fleming's and pitch me on him in a way. Like if I was sitting there and the Mavs were like, all right, it's Kingston, Kings and Fleming's is the guard that falls to them. Why should I be happy about that if that

happened? And he plays with incredible speed. Like his ability to start and stop is some of the

most impressive in this guard class. It gets downhill a ton incredibly impressive,

high volume and efficient playmaker and assist rate over 30 this

year, turnover rate sub 15. For a freshman to do that in Houston system tells you a lot about

how much they trusted him and how he fit in alongside a lot of the upperclassmen like

Emmanuel Sharp, Milo Suz on that team and how he fit in alongside a lot of the upperclassmen like Emmanuel Sharp, Milo Suz

on that team and how he was able to really kind of run the show. That wasn't the expectation

coming in to this season. He had a lot of fans, but it wasn't like, oh, he could be a potential

top five to ten pick fans. It was like, oh, he's interesting. Like, could this really be a potential one and done?

I guess we'll find out.

And then after a month of play, it's like, oh, my God, this dude is for real.

And then also he's probably the best defensive guard of that top group.
