Defense and Foreign Affairs. In these last days, England saw very ugly demonstration by mobs, especially in northern cities.

Not in London, I'm told. Against police and authorities. Some of the anecdotes are horrible to consider, but the cause, the driver is more interesting than anything we can say about the police ability to impose order.

There were confrontations that led to violence.

There were lots of arrests.

The driver was said to be initially the murder of a

tragic horrible murder of three children by a child born in Britain of

Rwandan migrant parents. There is no single explanation.

He's alleged to be the killer, although we have lots of reporting to say that this is not mysterious.

However, the riding is said to have followed from that.

I understand all of that, but we come more

to the lesson that Gregory has given me these many years, which is the king.

King Charles has called for mutual respect and understanding after racist riots targeting Muslims and migrants in Britain.

This is according to a Buckingham Palace spokesperson over the weekend, marking the first intervention by the monarch since the unrest began last week.

The king thanked police and emergency services for their response, and he welcomed the way

the community groups had countered, quote,

the aggression and criminality from a few.

Immediately after this, we were told they were expecting big riots,

and then counter-demenstr demonstrators showed up.

Urging peace, they outnumbered the Rioters, and not much happened.
