This evening, this evening, we are continuing with King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

Feel that support under your body and take comfort in it. Take a gentle breath in and out. Let yourself sink into that support. Before the feast of the Pentecost began, a damsel arrived at court,

seeking help for her lady whose castle was besieged.

A young kitchen servant, whom Sir Key had jokingly called Beaumains, came forward to claim two gifts Arthur had promised him a year earlier.

He asked to undertake the damsel's adventure,

and to be made a knight by Sir Lancelot.

On the journey, Beaumain's defeated Sir Key,

fought honourably with Sir Lancelot, and revealed himself to Lancelot as Gareth of Orkney, Sir Garwain's brother.

Lancelot knighted him, and Beaermain's continued the quest under his guise.

Despite constant insults from the damsel for being a mere kitchen boy, he rescued captives,

slew thieves, and defeated many powerful knights, including the black knight, the green knight,

the red knight, and Sir Perseant.

Though Gareth repeatedly showed bravery, patience and courtesy, the damsel continued to scorn him.

Eventually, however, she repented and revealed herself as Lynette, sister to Lady Lyons,

the lady who was under siege.

Beaumains disclosed his royal lineage to Lynette and Sir Perseant, but asked them to keep it secret.
