This podcast is going to cover kinetics and solubility.

In terms of kinetics, I will cover the general concept of

chemical kinetics. I'll talk about rate laws, and that's where I'll spend most of the time in the

kinetic section of the podcast is on rate laws. And then I'll get into a little bit on the variables

that affect kinetics of a reaction, things like temperature and pressure, different types of solvents,

stuff like that. And then I'll get into solubility, again, starting with the general concept of

solubility, and then I'll get into solubility constant, or a cusp or kSP. And then I'll talk about

the common ion effect, and lastly I'll talk a bit about selective precipitation. And this material is going to show up on one out of the four MCAT sections.

That is going to be the Chemphiz section.

Obviously, this is Gen Chem stuff, so you're mostly seed in that section.

This stuff is fairly important.

I'd put it somewhere along the lines of like 7 out of ten on the yield score if 10 out of 10 was

the yield for like amino acids or something that comes up 10 different times on the mcat so this

is stuff that you'll definitely see it might not be 10 questions but you'll definitely get a few

questions on kinetics and solubility and you're most likely to see some kind of calculations.

These are typically pretty simple calculations.
