Lily was beginning to feel the pings of loneliness.

Following the death of her father, Lily retreated even further from her social circle as she worked through her sorrow and emotions.

After a year of caring for her father and half a year of solitary mourning,

Her mother suggested she go to a second-hand shop and even offered to pay for a dress if it wasn't too expensive.
