And I didn't know at the time that today is international whistleblowers day.

If we hope to uncover and punish or deter corruption, we need to support whistleblowers

and we need to support journalists, two key communities.

I'm more on the receiving of the whistleblowers service to the world. I'm a

journalist who speaks to whistleblowers frequently and sometimes they find me, sometimes I speak to

people and then they decide to come out and speak out.

Just today I interviewed a woman who is speaking out and reaping the truth about police officers

who killed the businessman in one of the regions in Azerbaijan.

She's hiding now. It's incredibly difficult for her.

People question her motives.

People question her participation in that crime.

But I think it's incredibly brave of her to come out and speak out.
