Almost every keyword phrase falls into one of four types of searcher intent.

The first type is informational.

This is when someone does a Google search to find out information on a particular topic.

If you are a blogger who monetizes with ads, you will write the majority of your post on keywords with informational intent.

Some of these phrases are questions like who, what, why, how, along with tips, tutorials, recipes, side dishes, and anything related to getting info not tied to products

or services. In these cases, Google searchers are just looking for knowledge and are not even

thinking about buying. To identify search intent, you will look at the first page of organic Google results.

Google's algorithm assesses the types of pages that searchers click on and how long they stay on these pages to determine intent.

You will want to ignore any links from Google Ads when you are scanning the results showing up on the first page for a

specific phrase. A keyword with informational intent will have Google results

filled with blog post. The second type of intent is called navigational. This is
