The Buck High State, Ohio.

I spent three years of my youth in Cincinnati and learned to appreciate that it is very different

from the East Coast of the United States.

It is solid, it is agrarian, it is powerful, the Buck High State.

Of course I was in the South along the Ohio River Valley and everything is different when

you move north and Salinas Zito of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, the Washington Examiner of the

New York Post is here to remind me once again the significance of the Mahoning Valley, Mahoning

County, for the vote in all of Ohio which has been trending red over these years.

And the presenting issue is that there's a Senate race coming in 24.

The incumbent Sherrod Brown is running not only in Cincinnati but also in the Mahoning

Valley.

Selena, a very good evening to my understanding of Sherrod Brown is that he's a liberal's

liberal in a red state.

Is that a comfortable match these days given the partisanship in Washington?

Sherrod Brown has been had a remarkable career that began in 1974 running in a country

conservative district as the youngest ever state rep in Ohio in Richland County.

And he has bucked the odds ever since.
