Do you have any favorite genres, things that you play heavily on your show? You know, someone wrote in this weekend. They were like, oh, I always like your show. You play a lot of like female-based artists. And I was like, maybe that's it. Like that's really like the tying thread together because I really do hit a lot of genres. Cool. Well, you have a new song that you're going to share

with us, something you brought along today. Tell me about it. Yes. So this is from a Peruvian

bass band, Los Mambrios, and the name of the song is Miones de Calores. It is from their debut

self-released album, DeStemia.

And I chose the song because, if I'm interpreting correctly, I believe the translation is millions of colors.

And they are referencing in the track title, kind of like the layering of guitar.

There's a lot of cool texture in the vocals and a melodic baseline.

Very MBV slow dive, if you will. But I also think the song sounds like that. It feels very

like kaleidoscopic, millions of colors like crystal reflecting in the sunny room, colors

dancing around.

What is it about the band in particular?

What about this album really drew you in to choose this?

Honestly, the first time I heard this album, I was on a walk or I was on a run.

And it just hit, just hit right.

It was kind of, I was near Lake Washington, and the fall leaves were out.

And I was like, I love this song.
