Yesterday I was just writing some things down, thinking about future segments on the show,

and then I'm like, you know what, I'm just going to do this tomorrow, meaning today.

I wrote down seven things that, not to sound like Peter King, things that I think right now,

but I'll just call it 2026 NFL hunches.

Right now, just, you know, we've gotten through free agency, we've got a draft coming up, and we're not through free agency yet, but we've

made our way through the first wave, big wave of free agency. And there are just certain things

that I just have like a hunch. And I'll probably not get off these things between now and the time that Max and I make our picks for the NFL season, the days after Labor Day leading into the beginning of the NFL season.

So the first one is this.

And if you want to give me just a hunch that you have about the 2026 NFL season,

just something you've been thinking about, you know, a team, a player, doesn't matter.

The number one thing that I wrote down was the chiefs are going to be back in a big way.

It may not start out that way if Mahomes is sidelined, but assuming he's back and back early

enough, which that is the assumption at this point, I love the combo of him and Kenneth

Walker the third in the backfield, but more than anything else,

it's that championship hunger.

It's that championship medal.

It's that, oh my God, we just had a terrible season for the first time in forever.

They are going to really be hungry.

Their fan base is going to be super hungry.

You know, I'm not saying this will happen if Justin Fields has to start seven games.

This is obviously contingent on Patrick Mahomes being available for the massive majority of games. And again,

I think everybody has this belief that he's going to come back and be ready for the opener.
