2026 NFL hunches here on March 25th, 26.

Just was jotting some things down yesterday that I just have hunches about.

Number one is I think the Chiefs are going to be back in a big way.

I think that assumes Mahomes is back early enough,

but the hunger of a championship pedigree team after a season like the one they had last

year, I look for the Chiefs to be once again at the top of the AFC when we get to the end of the

season next year. I don't think the Giants are going to be anywhere near as good as preseason

predictions will have them. I'm just not a Jackson Dart believer,

and I think they'll figure that out at some point, and then they'll be in the quarterback

market again, because they do have a good roster around him. Very good roster, and let's see

what they do with number five overall. The third hunch is, I think as long as Aaron Rogers is back in Pittsburgh

after the season he had and the additions that they made in free agency, you could argue that

Pittsburgh had one of the best free agency periods of any team in the league, adding Michael

Pittman Jr., Rico Dowdell, Dean and Bristker on defense.

I think with Mike McCarthy and a new sort of offensive approach, if Aaron Rogers is the

quarterback, if he's the quarterback.

And Dowdell will replace a lot of what Gainwell did, not to the extent that Gainwell did it.

Gainwell was really good for that

team last year, but I do like Doudal a ton. And I think Pittsburgh's going to be an AFC North

winner for a second straight year and a first-time playoff winner in about a decade. I love the

Saints as a team that could go from last to first, and part of it is,

I do believe in Tyler Shuck. They have good receivers, certainly with Alave leading that group.
