let me just point this out because I was in a text back and forth with a friend of the show

during that interview with Bobby Trossett, which I actually recorded before the show this

morning. If you want your next offensive coordinator to run the football more, to run, to win games, you better

improve dramatically your defense, because you've had an offensive coordinator here for two seasons

who has been chasing every single week, a defense that has been horrible.

I mean, you're not, you have, I actually went back and looked at this during the break.

If you go back to last year, you know, I want a coach who's going to break the other team's will running the football.

Well, you better get a lead.

And you know when they did last year?

You know what they did most of the time against Arizona, against Tennessee,

even to a certain extent against Detroit in the playoffs?

They ran the football. They ran the clock. They dominated time of possession. They broke the other team's will. And it wasn't in those situations with

the quarterback primarily. It was with Brian Robinson, Jr., Austin Echler.

At times, Chris Rodriguez even.

Think about the Atlanta game.

Think about some of those other games, including the Tennessee game.

Think about what they did with Jeremy McNichols, even in the Arizona game early in the year last year, where they rushed for an S load of yards.

What was the number of yards they rushed for?

I mean, they had a big lead.

Part of why you're not seeing a breaking of the other team's will running the ball

down their throat is you're behind by two scores too often.

You want the next offensive coordinator to succeed and to have sustained success,
