Once upon a time, there was a radio show called the Eric Mataxis show.

It had an announcer named Todd, who was the handsomest announcer in the land.

Eric was bitterly jealous of Todd's good looks. But there was nothing he could do. He just had to accept that cruel fate had made him as ugly as a toad. Here's Toadface himself, Eric Mataxis. What do you think is going to happen? Do you think that this president will put forward

Amy Coney Barrett? You have written against Amy Coney Barrett. You're obviously a Catholic

and she's a Catholic and you recently sent, I thought, a mixed message on Twitter.

I wasn't clear whether you thought she had clarified the things that troubled you or had not.

So where do we stand on her? Okay. First of all, she's not a terrible choice of the Supreme Court by any

means. And there are some people on the president's list,

we know nothing about their views on abortions.

So she is not my worst case scenario by any means.

Okay.

I raised a few questions about her months ago

because back in 1999,

she co-authored a paper with John Garvey, now President of Catholic You, where she said

basically Catholic justices on courts, when their Catholic faith conflicts with the Constitution,

they should recuse themselves. Rather than just follow the Constitution, they should be.

I mean, that's 21 years ago. I'd like to think that she's evolved a little bit.

Right. She has subsequently, after my article came out, she has ruled well on capital punishment.

She forwarded a capital punishment case and the murderer was executed. She did not interfere with that.

And she ordered the removal of immigrants

who were here, who were not, who didn't have a legitimate asylum claim. Now, hold on. I want to make
