of Taylor Heineke, 301-230980. For those that don't know, he announced his retirement

yesterday from football. This is a guy who here in Washington in 2020 was given the opportunity

to start a playoff game. His first game as a starter in Washington was the playoff game against Tampa on January 9th,

2021. And he was outstanding that night, no doubt. Completed 26 of 44 passes for

306 yards, a touchdown and interception, and had six carries for 46 yards, including

that, you know, memorable run to the pylon to cut Tampa's lead in the third quarter of that game

to 18 to 16. Yeah, it was 18 to 16 at the end of the third quarter. They did lose that game. I know it felt like in the moment that maybe they won that football game, but they didn't. They lost that football game. There were a couple of games for me that I think were incredibly memorable. And I'd go to 2021, you know, when he started against Atlanta on the road, and it was a wild back and fourth

game. You know, Washington and Atlanta, you know, the Falcons took an eight-point lead in the

fourth quarter, and then he threw that incredible touchdown pass where he ducked pressure and

threw a TD pass to Terry McLaren, and then, you know, again, ducked pressure and threw a TD pass to Terry McCluren.

And then, you know, again, ducked pressure and created and extended more time and dumped it off to McKissick, who ended up scoring.

And they won that game 34 to 30.

He, that particular day, they were outstanding, you know, in clutch situations, he was great.

He threw for 2.93 touchdowns.

Didn't commit a turnover, which, you know, did plague him at times in games,

rushed for 43 yards.

You know, basically it was a shootout between Taylor Heineke and Matt Ryan, you know,

in Atlanta in a 34 to 30 game. Another memorable game for me was at Indianapolis in 2022.

They had just beaten the Packers with him taking over this starting roll from Carson Wentz.

And they beat the Packers, by the way, on a third and long, it was third and eight, third and nine, and he threw a ball timing-wise to Terry McLaren on the far sideline for a first down that was a big-time throw, big-time catch too. But the game at Indianapolis, I mean, was not necessarily Taylor at his best.

You know, he threw a pick, he took some sacks, and there he was, you know, with them trailing 16 to 10,

and they picked up a big time fourth down from their own territory,
