Hello everyone and welcome to police off the cuff, real crime stories.

I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD, sort of a bizarre case we have

here, and I'll put the thumbnail up on the screen. Sheriff shoots the judge. I just, I've never

seen that before anywhere in this world, and it's just quite a bizarre thing in West Liberty,

Kentucky, excuse me, Kentucky. And the sheriff's name is Sean Mickey Steins and the judge

is Judge Kevin Mullins. You see his on a thumbnail.

He's up in the right corner there.

And the how and the who and the what,

we know all of that.

What we don't know is the why.

And that's probably going to be one of the many disturbing things in this case.

You know, a man who lived his life enforcing the law and lived a righteous life, and all

the sudden goes into a judge's chambers who happens to also not just be a judge,

but his friend, and shoots and kills the judge, right, inside his chambers. So many of us,

all of us, are asking, well, obviously this was caught on video. So there's no

question on the who. And even his attorneys aren't questioning whether he's the guy or not. He's

right on video. Shooting and taking the judge's life right in his chambers. So the bizarre thing about this,

of course, is why did this happen? What the hell is going on? Why did the sheriff

kill the judge? You know, and that's what we have to find out.

And that is what everyone wants to know in this case.
