It didn't take long for things to heat up during the NFL legal tampering period.

Shortly after it was announced that Alec Pierce re-signed with the Colts,

the Chiefs made a power move they will be signing Kenneth Walker.

Oh boy.

Walker obviously showed up big down the stretch, especially in the Super Bowl.

We know the performance there,

but largely in his time in Seattle, he was stuck in timeshare committee situations. Now he goes to

Kansas City, which I'll be honest, wasn't necessarily my favorite landing spot for him,

but I'm not going to hate on it, where he's not going to have much

competition at all. If we look to the Kansas City backfield, this is an element that they've

been missing for quite some time. They just haven't had a speed back element. They've had Isaiah

Pacheco, who let's be clear, at least early in his career had speed, but since

he was injured, he's never quite been the same player.

Kareem Hunt earlier in his career might have had speed.

He doesn't have it either.

Those guys are free agents.

Those guys are going to walk.

They have Breschard Smith who maybe can contribute potentially in passing situations a little

bit this year, and then pretty much nobody else.

Kenneth Walker is stepping into a prime opportunity with an offense that can be very potent,

with an offensive mind in Andy Reed, who historically has proven to be very effective for
