It's the case that everybody is talking about.

A lot of people became addicted to true crime.

And solving some of these lingering cases during the COVID pandemic. People were locked up

and they wanted some sort of material to keep their minds busy. So that has become a national

pastime. So when this tragic story about Gabby Petito and Brian Laundry came up, people were automatically transfixed.

From the moment that I saw her mom and dad pleading, pleading with law enforcement, with anyone

who had seen or heard from her daughter, tearfully, holding up pictures, begging, trying to get

some attention. And then the more we heard

about their journey, the more doomed it seemed. So I want to bring in an actual homicide detective.
