the Great Southeast, maybe you have been pummeled in recent days by Hurricane Ida. She might

have been downgraded to a tropical storm, but she has been wreaking havoc on everyone and everything

It has been a fatal storm with massive winds.

And she has shown no mercy.

Once again, Louisiana got pummeled.

And you see these incredible images of hurricanes and tornadoes.

And I often wonder to myself, you know, of course, obviously I love the movie

Twister, Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. I mean, it is legendary cows and farming implements flying

through the air. All bets are off. And there are people who do that for a living. They don't

just rekindle their dead and dying love.

They actually go into the eye of various storms and try and document exactly what's happening.

Are they scientists, thrill seekers, or are they just out of their minds?

Well, I've been desperate to know watching these images. And we always watch.

We're always transfixed whenever there are big storms. Because there are so many variables.

There's so many unknowns. And, you know, we're always curious what nature will do to us and how unprepared and feeble we are as humans.

But we also want to see resilience and stupidity.

And that's why we watch to see if people are going to get out of the way and flee and try and find

higher ground or if they're going to stand their ground and stand in the storm's path. And some of those

people, professional storm chasers, they're the ones who bring us the images. They're the ones
