I heard something about them. I did some people talking about it. Yes, and as we talked about many times the Republicans are doing basically nothing to help most people with the property taxes

But somebody who does have an idea is state representative cherish prior. She's a Democrat represents part of Indianapolis

And she joins us now to talk about maybe some things we can do with property taxes cherish. How are you?

The Democrats will always come on our show and talk to us about ideas the Republicans will not so congratulations

So let's let's talk you let's talk about property taxes you obviously we were talking before went on the air

You represent part of 38th street all the way over to the cults complex. Yes

Why are more people in the general assembly doesn't seem like the Republicans for the most part are motivated on this issue

It seems like they kind of went forced into even crafting any sort of legislation

Do you when you're walking around the state house do you hear about this from your colleagues and if not

Why don't you think more people are interested in it?

No, I don't hear a lot about it

You know there are a couple of organizations

That have had their eye on

What we're going to see

In property tax bills when they start coming out at least in mirroring county around April third

So there are a couple of people that have had their eye on it, but certainly not a lot of my colleagues are talking about it at all

quite frankly, this is something that I have been talking about for probably

10 years or now particularly in

Senator Township in the areas where we have a lot of people moving in and the older people in some of the folks in the older homes

Have seen their property taxes sometimes triple in double
