Rob Kendall has the day off and in his place, Jim Roberts, joining me, Casey Daniels, in the studio.

Donald Trump announced that one of his first acts as president will be to initiate a 25% tariff on all products coming in from Mexico and from Canada.

And this decision comes in response to Mexico and Canada, allowing crime and many, many drugs

to pour in to the U.S. border.

Many, many drugs, not some drugs. I can just hear Donald Trump saying that.

It's being reported now, though, that the president of Mexico has announced that she will stop the migrant caravans from arriving at the southern border after Donald Trump's tariff threat.

So this announcement comes just 12 hours later. So what does that tell you?

It's working. It's working. The threat of tariffs is working. And that's exactly what they are.

And that's what Donald Trump's Commerce Secretary, his pick for commerce secretary, Howard Lutnik said,

and he gives an example, this is cut 16, Kevin, he gives an example of how Trump will use

the tariffs as a bargaining chip. And of course it's a bargaining chip. We can sell a Ford or GM

in Europe. You go to Europe. You can't sell a Ford GM. Why? There's a 100% tariffs. How about in Japan? A hundred percent tariffs. So do you think if we said, we're going to tariff you the way you tariff us? Do you think they're going to allow Mercedes and all these Japanese companies

and Porsches and BMWs to all of a sudden have 100% tariffs in America? Of course that.

They're going to come and negotiate and their tariffs are going to come down. And finally, Ford
