Good morning. It is Friday, January 31st. It is five minutes after 11 with Kendall and Casey on 93 WIBC.

So can we talk really quick about this bill that was introduced by Anna Polina Luna? She's representative from Florida.

The bill seeks to add President Trump's face to Mount Rushmore.

She argued that Trump's remarkable accomplishments and future success deserve recognition on the national monument.

See, this is, and this is actually a really dangerous thing because this worship of Trump, and we talked about this when he got inaugurated, our job now is to hold him accountable, hold all these Republicans accountable. That is the phase we have entered into,

which is, hey, we voted for you. We cheerleaded for your election. And now, as you should be with all of your elected officials, a federal level, state level, local level, no friends because they're not your friends. And your job is to hold them accountable. And it's this worship thing. Look, Trump was a mediocre first time president. He did some really good things. He did some really bad things.

The country was in a horrific position when he left public office, much of it because of what he did.

Now, he did some fine things in the buildup to 2020, but it was a complete dumpster fire.

COVID was a complete dumpster fire. Much of it caused by Trump, the money printing, the emboldening of Fauci,

all of that stuff. Now, you can say whatever, well, you know, hindsight's 20-20. Yeah, but he did it.

There's a, he's not even a top 10, 20, probably all-time president. Now, maybe he will be at the end of

this term. Maybe he's going to kick so much butt and take so many names.

And by the end, we'll be like, man, that was, you know, Reagan reincarnated, right?

But right now, that is utterly ridiculous that you would compare him to Washington or Lincoln or Jefferson or even, look, I don't think Roosevelt was all that great of a president.

But certainly the public sphere, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, uh, historically, I don't think Roosevelt was all that great of a president, but certainly the public

sphere, historically, he is viewed as one of the great American presidents.

I mean, it's just, it's laughable that he would be compared to those people.

So the Interior Department is the one that would oversee the addition if Congress approved it.

I mean, let's get serious.

Congress most likely not going to approve it.

Trump said he was okay. He didn't oppose the idea when it was brought up him back in 2019.

But that would be under Doug Bergam, right?
