93 WIBC it is the Kendall and Casey show I'm Rob Casey's here and it's time Casey to reflect on another

week of the Indiana General Assembly doing as little as possible on our behalf and nobody knows

the general assembly like our good friend former state senator Jim Barrett 30 years in the

Indiana Senate. How are you my friend? Good morning. You're always so nice. Well, how many

friendships have I ruined for you over the years. One or two. Several. All right, so let's start with

this toxic waste dump in Putnam County. Obviously we had Rudy Guerrero on Wednesday. We had him back on

the show again today. They had the meeting in Russellville last night. Jim, I think it's safe to say

the biggest issue here is nobody knows what's going on. People aren't mad at heritage environmental

per se. They recognize stuff as to go somewhere. That is what they do. But the federal government has

been so deceptive throughout all of this. People's want answers. What's the truth? Well, we're at the

mercy of the federal government number one. However, we're always at the mercy of the federal government.

It takes leadership here. Everyone gathering from the governor, the members of Congress,

legislature, everybody gathering and talking to people and making sure that people understand

exactly what's going on. Robert Casey's all about transparency. And it seems like our elected

fish. Now, whole comes in a sternly worded letter. Not nearly as sternly as he did the churches

on Easter during COVID or the gyms or the barbershops or remember when he tried to put you in jail

for not wearing a mask. I mean, those not quite sternly letter as those law-biting citizens got.

But other than that, it's I was told John Cray no showed the thing last night. I mean, he's a

senator who I believe part of his district is Putnam County. I was told Beau Baird basically was

telling people throughout the day. He was a state rep. Yeah, you know, it kind of stinks. But that's

what these guys do. And then that like Baird and Bray went to the meeting last night. But there

was no enthusiasm. Where are the lawmakers? At least pretend to care. Well, it's all about
