This beautiful white weather we're having would have been even prettier a week ago or even 10 days ago. We could have had a white Christmas.

But as Indianapolis continues to be impacted by

the severe winter weather, officials with the Indianapolis Department of Public Works said

that trash pickup is still scheduled to occur today, although they will have some delays.

This from a statement from the Indie DPW, the official said that there are going to be some delays. This from a statement from the Indy DPW. The official said that there are going to be

some delays, but those areas that experience delays will be serviced on Tuesday. So you're

supposed to still place your cart or recycling bin on the curb in front of the large piles of

snow, and you're supposed to clear a four-foot space on each side of your can to allow the

collection trucks to come on through.

So, yeah, they're still going to get your snow and your trash today.

And if they don't get it today and Indy, well, they'll get it tomorrow, Rob.

Yeah, and the overarching theme when talking to some members

of law enforcement and hearing, obviously, your interview that you did with the NDOT spokeswoman,

and then you hear Ryan Hedrick and Kurt Darling and the people doing the news. There's kind of a consensus,

which is, hey, look, is this the worst weathered ever had Central Indiana? No, but is it deceptively bad? Yes.

If you don't have to get out, don't do it. Now, for many people, for a variety of reasons,

obviously they have to get out and go do something. But if you can avoid getting out today,

it's best not to do that to give the folks the time to get these roads cleared, because

when you factor in the snow and then the ice, and then obviously kind of a mixture of both

and now the drifting, it can be deceptively dangerous out there, and there's no reason to take

that risk.
