So it was September 2001, just a few days after September 11th, 2001.

I was on maternity leave with a one-month-old.

I believe it was our first time out of the house after she was born.

We went and saw Jerry Seinfeld at the Morris Performing

Arts Center in South Bend. Oh yeah, I remember that. It was kind of a somber crowd. Everybody's

very quiet and really not in the happiest of moods. And Jerry Seinfeld walked out on stage and he

said, so we meet again. And everybody kind of chuckled and he looked at the audience and he said,

you know what, it's okay to laugh. So no matter how hard or complicated or difficult or weird you

think life is, it's okay to laugh. But I go back to his first statement, so we meet again.

How you doing? I'm looking at you, dude.

Choosing to take a vacation day.

I'm so happy for him because he likes to bank all his vacation days till the end of the year.

And then he just disappears for a full

month which is great for him it's hard on me and i've been encouraging him to take more time throughout

the year take a day here and there and he's finally doing it the guy chose the writer cup weekend

to take a day off but that means that you're in with me today.

And I'm excited about that. It's been like a year since you've been in. Yeah, good morning.

And what a Rob Kendall thing to do. The guy who never takes any vacation time until he's forced to

decides that I'm going to take vacation time so I can sit on my couch all weekend and watch
