So it's kind of like, uh, wow, Christmas happens in winter after

months of build up and speculation, Ron DeSantis,

expected to officially announce that he's running for president next week.

He's going to formally file paperwork with the federal election commission

and declare his candidacy. Of course, he can't ask for any money until he actually

declares that he's running for president.

We talk about this a lot when we offer free advice for people running for public

office. And we say this is true, and it is true, whether you're running for a town

council race, or you're running for president of the United States.

The worst thing you can do is get super wordy and super broad.

You generally win your campaigns, all things being equal, right?

Yeah. You know, obviously if a guy like Jefferson Shree versus Abdul,

there was, there was no shot that I had a good $1,000,000.

But in a case where all things are equal and it's candidate V candidate,

and everybody's doing signs and everyone's doing mailers and everyone's doing ads.

It is the topics that you choose to run on and how you run on those topics.

And that sounds relatively simple and an almost well duh type of thing.

But Casey, you would be flabbergasted.

The amount of candidates who believe they have to weigh in on every single topic.
