Welcome to the Bronx Pinstripe Show. Fantastic episode for you today. I always love when whenever, like, I used to be a big Conan O'Brien fan. Scott, I don't know if you ever watched, like, late night Conan O'Brien. And he would always start the show with, like, great episode, we had a great show for you tonight. It's like, and sometimes you're like, yeah, tonight's show. Not that great. Just average. And those would be the ones I would be more interested in, frankly. That's the, that's the coming, that's the line every single day. You got to make sure that the audience fills the confidence that you have a good show coming. So this one is, you know, I got to tell you, Logan and Ilya have joined, joined the squad the past week and a half, two weeks or whatever. And coming in, coming in hot, coming in hot, lots of data, lots of ideas, lots of, lots of shuffling around. So I'm loving it. And yeah, I'm excited to talk about some different things. We're going to be mixing things up this year, and I'm excited for it.

And we actually have, I did an interview with Ken Waldichuk, Yankees pitching

prospect. He, he's, um, that'll be on the back half of today's show. Ilya, our other,

our other team member was on that, was on that episode, was on that portion of the show. So we got

both the guys making their debut on this, on this week's show. All right, let's start with the,

the news that number 21 paul o'neill

is getting retired this summer this brought out the the take that many people have of the yankees

oh i thought it was already retired well that but also oh another number retired what are we

doing here too many yankee number retired they're going to have to go to triple digits soon, too blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, I get it. Okay. And I'm going to go through the list of Yankee retired numbers. And we'll try and figure out which ones shouldn't be retired. And it's harder than you think. But I, Paul O'Neill was my guy growing up. He was my favorite player. He was the fiery passion. I loved all of it. He was my guy. Yes, Derek Jeter fan, blah, blah, blah. But like, outside of that, Paul O'Neal is my guy. I have no problem with them retiring Paul O'Neill's number. I think he has more of a case than some other guys from that era frankly but we said this when it came up

with todd fraser and when there was some other talks about who like is uh garret cole potentially

didn't garrick cole wasn't he potentially going to wear 21 for some reason or there were a few people

i remember the whole fraser thing and essentially probably it was like, no. Right. And my take on the time, at the time, and it's still my take,

is that if the Yankees have decided not to hand out 21, they're unofficially retiring it,

just officially retire it. Either hand it out or don't. But you can't just have it be unofficially retired because
