fought and died for us that's what memorial days about and remember kind of resist saying

happy memorial day instead i mean it's fine to say have a good

memorial day uh but happy is not what it's about it's about remembering those people who

died for us uh it should be a solemn time so just remember that don't want to bring everybody

down but just kind of remember that because of them we have the freedom and the joy and the

in. The problem that I have, I always remember Memorial Day was always on May 30th, right? Now, I understand

the thing with the three-day holidays, but they push it up Monday, why couldn't they, why couldn't

Memorial Day be May 29th, next Friday, you could give people Friday, Saturday, Sunday, if that's,

that's what's so important.

Now, everybody's worried about it's going to be rainy for this weekend. Too bad. You know,

it's not, it's not the Memorial Day's not for hot dogs. And, you know, I mean, it's nice to have

family get-togethers, but that's a thing. I remember, I think it was about 1979. I was a big Dave Kingman fan. I went

down to the vet to see the Cubs and the Phillies play. It was on a Thursday, a beautiful day, May

30th. So that's why people today, the person that was on the show before you, that when she interviewed the people,

there was one, it looked like a mom in a 30s. And she asked, well, what do you think about? She says, yeah, well, I, yeah, I know, I'm not sure whether it's about. I think it's something about the veterans. That's what is the most, the people, the, all are really interested is a three-day holiday. Well, and you know what, if I could jump in, Rob.

Let me jump it if I may, Rob, please. And that is, I think part of it is also on those of us who are broadcasting. You know, all the years I was at Channel 7, and this is not, this is not to knock Channel 7. This was every broadcast news outlet. you really need to have a kind of revision, not revision,

is what's the word I'm looking for, a reminder course. It should be incumbent upon the
