0:46.1	Well, thank you very much for having me, and it feels like an honor to get to speak with a mother-daughter team.
0:52.6	Well, what exactly is mother-hunger?
0:56.4	Mother-hunger is a term that I came up with to describe a yearning, a primitive craving for a
1:07.3	quality of love that we associate with mothers, a love that's nurturing, a love that's
1:14.4	safe, and a love that's inspiring. A lot of us think that this love is romantic love that we're
1:21.8	craving, and we search for it over and over again from the people that we, well, even our friends, our
1:30.9	friends, our lovers, our partners.
1:33.0	When I work with women in the therapy space, time and again, what I hear is I want my mom whenever there is a disappointment or a heartbreak or the relationship ends.
1:50.4	The craving goes back to wanting maternal love.
1:54.0	So that's where I came up with the term.
1:57.8	And I used the term hunger because like food, we need love. It's not really,
2:06.4	it's not elective. This is a basic human need, just like our need for food. So we have a need
