joining us. Jan and Laura, this is going to be a lot of fun. I've been looking forward to this.

Well, we've been looking forward to it too, and we want to know more about what prompted you

to write this latest book.

You know, as I've been thinking about this conversation, one of the things that I don't think

anybody ever really told me is how important it is to take advantage of disruption.

Over the years, when critical inflection points in the world occur or your world occurs, that's an

opportunity. And so many of us see ourselves as getting mired down, depressed, challenged by,

and victims of what's going on around us. But if you just flip that card and see this radical disruption as an opportunity to leap

forward, then in fact, you can really capitalize. So in this case, I did just that. All of a sudden,

the world had stopped on March 13th. We didn't know when we were going to come out. And the first

thing I thought of

is, how can the world be better for this? And I started a project, which has ended up being two

years of research, 2,000 leaders in conversations and focus groups asking the question,

how can each of us transform ourselves, our leadership
