We are apart today because you are in Gorton and Denton, ahead of Thursday's crunch ballot,

and we'll get on to why you're in Gordon and Denton in just a

moment but we just had to update this podcast with the breaking news last night of Peter

Mandelson being both arrested and then returned back to his London home.

Only yesterday we asked on the podcast why it was that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor had been arrested,

but Peter Mandelson hadn't. Well, now he has been. And of course, what this does is it just

drags the story back into the limelight at a difficult time for the prime minister when he's dealing

with a by-election and also, of course, questions about other scandals in the Labour Party

related to Labour Together, the think tank which is accused of trying to dig up opposition research against journalists.

While you speak, Tim, it should be pointed out to those only listening that you do resemble Tiffany,

the singer of the hit song, I think we're alone now, with some headphones on,

the Daily Tea, Mike, you're in a Costa coffee, I believe. Tiffany is exactly what I was going for.

I'm in a Costa coffee. I'm trying not to disturb people's lunchtime, yeah. Fair enough. Now, the

interesting thing about this Mandelson arrest is that we now hear from Darren Jones,

who is basically the Prime Minister's right-hand man in the cabinet office, that that tranche of

Mandelson documents that we were going to get, the Mandy files, we're going to get some of them in March,

but some of them are going to be withheld because the Metropolitan Police

needs them to form their case, presumably, against the former Labour peer.

And therefore, there is the prospect, and this is a story we're running on the Telegraph,

that some of this information will not come to light until potentially after Kea Stama
