Amen and amen. Good evening. You can be seated. How's everybody doing tonight?

Glad you're here. Those of you online, glad you're joining with us with the start time,

which is a half hour before we usually start on Thursday night so we're glad

you're joining with us as well listen I wanted to start off with a brief teaching

you're really quick to laugh when I say brief still.

That's okay, I'll let you have it.

No, but in anticipation of tonight's prayer meeting,

I just in my time with the Lord's sense that I needed to talk about the simplicity of prayer.

And even more specifically, ways that we can keep our prayer life simple, yet effective.

If you're anything like me and I suspect that you are, many of you, like me, you too have

this proclivity to complicate prayer so much that you actually don't pray as much.

You know what I mean?

I mean, we make prayer something it was never intended to be

and we end up not praying at all

because we've overcomplicated that which was never meant to be complicated.

What I'm hoping to accomplish in our time together tonight is that all of us at the end of our time together tonight,

myself included by the way, will be helped in our prayer

life in order that we might change our prayer life. I'm going to kind of spin something

here and say it like this.

I'm hoping that all of us not only change our prayer life, but in so doing also completely

change our entire life.
