Summary

Galatians 1: 8-10 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!
10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

All right, we're digging into Galatians chapter one today.

We're continuing our digging actually because Paul has introduced the major topic of this letter

0:36.3

that he wrote to the folks in the region of Galatia and that issue is this the

gospel of Jesus Christ which is a religious sounding word.

We're going to kind of unpack what that means in just a moment.

0:48.6

The Gospel of Jesus Christ needs to be understood clearly and simply with no added preservatives.

0:59.0

Nothing added to it. It needs to be just a pure unadulterated thing. Now let's talk for a moment about

1:05.7

what the gospel is. Paul says in verse number 8 of chapter 1, even if we or an angel from heaven, should preach a gospel other than the one we preach

1:35.2

in agreement and say, yes, good news.

1:38.0

It is the good news that Jesus Christ, God's only son, came to this earth from heaven, was born as a virgin, lived a perfect life,

sin, defeating the power of the grave, and providing for us forgiveness if we will place our faith
