Hey friends, it's Kristen.

Grab your scriptures and let's dive into Moses, chapter 8, verse 4.

Now, have you ever experienced FOMO?

For those of you who aren't familiar with the term,

FOMO means fear of missing out. It's

that feeling you get when you're sure all of your friends are out doing something fabulous while

you're sitting at home. If you're like me, you might have Jomo, which is joy of missing out. I love

staying home and knitting. But anyway, in Moses 8, we learned about someone who might have had the

biggest case of FOMO on record,

and that's Methuselah.

Methuselah was the son of the prophet Enoch, and a member of the city of Enoch that became

so righteous they were all translated and taken up into heaven, except Methuselah.

Not because he wasn't righteous enough, but because someone had to stay behind

and continued the priesthood family line through which Noah would be born. Can you imagine

how he felt as every family member and friend was taken into the rest of God? Then to make

matters worse, after everyone was gone, quote, there came forth a great famine

into the land and the Lord cursed the earth with a sore curse.

Not only was Methuselah separated from his friends and family, but he was also stuck in

an awful famine.
