Let's talk now about keeping a garden journal.

It sounds really boring, honestly.

Sounds like you're in the 1850s and you're, you know, sitting there like writing in your garden with a pen and a quill some ink.

But the secret of progress in the garden really is to keep some sort of

tracking system in place.

It really doesn't matter how you do it. I think a lot of people get caught up in the method

as far as how to take your journal entries. But what you're trying to do is capture information right and so every year that you

garden what you have to think about is that there's not that many years I mean

there's so many passions in life that you can just repeat if you mess up easily.

Even in something like carpentry.

You try to build a table, you cut a piece of wood wrong, or you split something, okay, just go buy

some more and fix it. In the world of gardening, if you miss something, just go buy some more and fix it.

In the world of gardening, if you miss something in a season,

you miss something in that season.

And we have a good 50, 60 seasons of our life

if we garden our whole whole life, right?
