I'm fully tenured and working on well-funded research with a brilliant team of scientists around the world. No, today I speak for scholars like a young untenured professor from Israel, her homeland demonized since October 7th and even long before.

I speak for an undergraduate teaching assistant whose studies and whose employment requires

him to navigate the complex thoroughfare of campus that

sometimes includes encampments which are no-go zones for him. All educators are

familiar with Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
