And if that happens, it creates a bubble of this new kind of space that we call a true vacuum.

And the true vacuum bubble would expand at about the speed of light and engulf everything

and change the physics within that bubble to physics that we cannot exist in.

Our atoms would not hold together anymore and it would just kind of destroy everything.

And you wouldn't see it coming because it would happen at the speed of light.

You wouldn't feel it either. It would happen so quickly that you wouldn't really notice.

It would be real, real bad.

That's astrophysicist Katie Mack. In her book, The End of Everything,

she's combined her deep knowledge of the origin and evolution of the cosmos

Absolutely everything, yes.

Everything we can see and things we can't see, everything there is. Reality goes away.

And thinking about this gives you joy.

I wouldn't say it gives me joy. I would say that it's something that's so big and so

overwhelming that the only thing you can do is laugh.
